A once in a life time opportunity for history
buffs, aviators, patriots and the like to be
part of this event.
Don’t miss out on your chance to learn first
hand what it was like for these Tuskegee
Airmen as they share their tales of battle,
victory and loss.
The event kicks off with check-in at the
Rosen Plaza Hotel on March 23, 2011
and a reception that evening at 6:00 PM
On March 24, which is the 66th anniversary of the 332 Fighter Groups mission to Berlin, you will travel by bus to Polk City Florida to tour Fantasy of Flight, the largest privately owned warbird museum in the United States.
While at Fantasy of Flight you will have an opportunity to view a vast selection of warbirds including an exact replica of a red tail P-51C once flown by the late Lt Col Lee Archer.
You will have the opportunity to walk through a B-17 and get up-close to a P-40. The number of aircraft from WWI, WWII and more recent conflicts will sure to keep you occupied.
Enjoy a private BBQ luncheon in a hangar while at Fantasy of Flight and afterwords listen to the "Tales of the Red Tails" as told by the pilots themselves. Keep in mind that the youngest pilot will be 85 years of age so this could truly be a once in a life time event.
On March 25th you will have a little free time to relax by the pool, do some shopping or for the adventurous why not head over ( EARLY ) to the Kona Cafe at Disney's Polynesian Resort for breakfast. There's nothing like Tonga Toast to start the day off right. Be sure to be back at the Rosen Plaza Hotel by 6:00 PM for cocktails with the crew followed by dinner at 7:00 PM
